Rap battle against evil Sonic in this FNF mod
Vs. Sonic.Exe - Friday Night Funkin' Mod is a game utility application developed by GameBanana. Free to download, this app is a mod for the popular music rhythm game Friday Night Funkin'. Here, players will take on the role of Boyfriend and will face the mythical and legendary character Sonic.Exe in a rap battle.
Like other FNF mods, Vs. Sonic.Exe introduces seven new songs that you can discover by playing complete story mode and the free-play mode. Of course, fans of Sonic the Hedgehog will find many references and nods to the world of Sonic video games.
What does the mod offer?
Sonic.Exe is a fan-made Sonic game developed in 2012. Here, an eldritch identity takes on the form of the famous blue hedgehog and sends out a haunted game disc that killed the main Sonic characters. Vs. Sonic.Exe takes the classic characters of Sonic.Exe to the FNF world. Here, the evil Sonic challenges Boyfriend to a song duel in a strange and gloomy atmosphere.
Despite having a dark atmosphere, the game will retain the mechanics of the original Friday Night Funkin'. The goal is still to play all the notes of the songs according to their charts. By doing so, you will see the progress bar tilts towards you until you win. To play the notes, press the arrow keys at the same time as the arrow symbols above Boyfriend to match one another.
As mentioned, you can play either the story mode or the free-play mode. The complete story mode comes with several acts, where you can discover seven new songs. You’ll also face off against five Sonic.Exe characters, including Sonic.Exe himself. More than that, the mod also includes various Easter eggs in the Sound Test menu. However, you have to beat Story Mode on Hard and use codes to unlock them.
Is the mod good?
There are various mods available for FNF, but Vs. Sonic.Exe - Friday Night Funkin' Mod takes the game to a greater height. It combines two classic games on one platform. Not only that, but it also brings more songs to play and characters to battle with. Even better, it comes with surprises that you can unlock as you play. Although, prepare a good-performing PC to avoid issues, such as lags.
